My early aspiration in life was to be an astronomer. Going up the education ladder I realized I was at a different wavelength with respect to what was being taught to me. Stumbling onto Mass Media, i formalized an existing interest in photography. Mass Media and SIES College (Sion, Mumbai) in particular gave me the license to make films for almost every other assignment.
The transition from thinking in stills to moving frames happened during
college and its something that stays

as a perspective for life. 
The New York Film Academy in Los Angeles was where I did my MFA in Cinematography with some of the most talented people i'm proud to now call friends. NYFA solidified the foundation and our circle in LA was a creative outlet. Inspiration is everywhere but when you find it in your peers, it pushes you more and this was something we all fed off each other in LA. Working for a year and a half in Hollywood as a DP/DOP, Focus Puller and Camera Operator followed.
